The Lunch Project

Pastoraal Uitzendbureau (PUB) in Den Bosch, offers homeless people the opportunity to attend programs aimed at reintegration into society. Examples are the bicycle workshop or the lumber project. Since November 2017, PUB also collects expired food products from a local supermarket, which would be considered waste (as they can’t be used by the food bank). These products are now used to prepare lunch for approximately thirty people, on a daily basis. Preparing and consuming the lunch together contributes to the core values of PUB and, moreover, is a good initiative in fighting food waste.
